Associate professor

University of Stavanger

Nejm Saadallah is an associate professor in computer science at the University of Stavanger, Norway, where he teaches Operating Systems and Systems Programming (DAT320), Algorithm Theory (DAT600), and supervises master theses projects in computer science, data science and cybernetics. He was earlier a senior research scientist at NORCE where he worked on various research projects related to drilling automation, drilling data management, and energy efficiency.

In fundamental research, Nejm’s research interest is in methods for designing verifiable concurrent software systems, autonomous control systems, as well as the borderline between continuous and discrete systems . In applied research, his interest is in applying computer science principles for solving real life problems such as: Efficient energy usage in industry and household, BlockChain as an infrastructure for societal safety, Artificial Intelligence where human cannot, modelling systems using graph theory, identifying system dynamics from observations.
